Pros

Strong support for extended education and career development. Diversity of products allows for a lot of lateral movement between organizations. This makes for a great place for a young engineer to gain experience fast.

Cons

Political issues common to most large companies prevent advancement in some organizations beyond lower management levels. Large scale periodic RIF reduce long term prospects of some positions as directed by market analysts which may not reflect actual business opportunities.

Pros

Lean structure; flattish management structure, engineering environment, and ethical company

Cons

Company decided to shed the OMAP business, and that will hurt in that the company will NOT stay at the forefront of digital & process technology
