Pros

People I worked with was some of the best people I have ever met. True jewels to hold dear forever and they are still close friends I have lunches and dinners with even this weekend. The pay was great and the other benefits were awesome too!!

Cons

My direct manager was "difficult" to anyone that was not female. She got alone with every female on the team, extremely well and ran into problems with all but one of her male team members. She was a director and did not have the emotional management style to take care of a team, she needed to worry about managing her directorship and her career. Have a Manager (who was fired - uhm, I mean laid off) in between as a buffer so the staff of an overworked team can perform under high stress situations 24/7/365 without having a director adding more to it with her opinions when it was not asked for and often times, not really deserved. Many people have left this once awesome team, directly because of her. I reported her to HR, HR did nothing about it. I am not surprised.

Pros

Target has great health insurance benefits, vision, dental, life insurance, and short/long term disability when and if you qualify.

Cons

Local management at our store is so bad it went from an ok company to work for to an absolute hell on earth. Early morning flow team is treated like robots, non-humans. We are routinely denied breaks, are not given birthday and employment anniversary gifts that other team members are given, our hours have all been cut to the point where many of us are receiving unemployment checks (mine were cut from 40/week to 24/MONTH!!! with no reason other than “we don’t have enough hours to give you”), yet while they essentially all but lay us all off, they are hiring new people. Our supervisors discriminate against certain people and are extremely unprofessional. The whole atmosphere is like one big Junior High School popularity contest with a side order of the movie “Mean Girls”.
