Pros

Great health and dental benefits if a full time employee. Starting pay is a lot higher if recruited externally. ($19.00 if in CA with a Bachelors degree)

Cons

Unrealistic high expectations from executive team leaders and store team leader. They all walk around and observe all of their hard working little minions and team leaders. No work-life balance especially during holidays. Can't spend thanksgiving or Christmas with yor family. Execs walk around with a smug face acting like they're gods gift to mankind. All they do is walk around delegating and not actually working.. super frustrating especially because many of these etls are recent college grads with no experience and have no clue how to respectfully manage and speak to a team with more experience than them.

Pros

Awesome STL, ETLs and team. (At least in my store) Tough time in Target but all leaders in store still try our best and work as a team to work towards a common goals, a green store.

Cons

It's good to have high expectations but it's unachievable when given limited resources and support. District "Manager"/ Business partner never understand the difficulties store encounter, although every leaders are giving their 200% and still not good enough for them. Technology and support are not provided in store but they still expect us to function like a US Target. (It took A YEAR for Target Canada to have the tool to print labels through PDAs, unbelievable) Head office needs to step their game up since their failure is the root cause of keeping every store "red". Workload hours are not being calculated properly and often we need to complete a huge task with short amount of hours.

Pros

Decent pay, good experience, always busy, decent high risk bonus, great for new college grads, great technology with an awesome camera system.

Cons

No work life balance if you're in a red store. If you're in AP expect to work 60-70 hour work weeks, if not more, doing something completely out of your work center. Very political when it comes to getting promoted. AP is like the step child work center that no one cares about anymore.
