Pros

Still has the start up feeling, potential for growth, best benefits, open kitchen and lots of young people and great minds working there.

Cons

Low salary + territory is key for sales success.

Pros

Great people Nice office Great product Nice managers Hard working people Supportive management Good orientation in Seattle Great customer conference

Cons

Use "growing" as an excuse for shrinking pay and unattainable quota. Territories shrink while quota increases Keep hiring which makes it harder to pay bills On target earnings are HUGE exaggerations. Use company "mission" as an excuse to not pay reps enough to survive in DC. People have larger territories but same quota making field very uneven and unfair. No upward mobility Pay is really bad You won't be able to pay bills

Pros

Tableau has been a breathe of fresh air for my career. Like a lot of folks who join, I came from an older organization with an extremely traditional and bureaucratic business model. However, upon joining into Tableau, I was surrounded by entrepreneurial, smart, driven, fun, unique, engaged, and proud employees. I could go on and on, but bottom line, Tableau has what anyone would look for in a company: - Company growth and individual growth potential - A unified mission - Terrific health and personal benefits - A product that WORKS - Mentorship and investment in the individual - Stock Plan - International Assignments (optional) - Positive culture - Transparency across departments - Two-week orientation for ALL global new hires at its Seattle HQ - Engaging office workspaces - Resources to LEARN (esp. for someone new to sales!) To work at Tableau, you have to be willing to embrace challenge. You're not just a number or a number cruncher, nor a cog; rather, a valued employee whose insights, attitude, determination, and feedback matter.

Cons

Lots of reviews list Tableau's growth as a con. And sure, rapid growth in any space yields growing pains, but I would argue that's not a bad thing! In fact, that's why I (and others) joined the company to begin with - to engage and apply an entrepreneurial attitude. I don't expect things on a silver platter, but again, we're GROWING! Who's ever said, "I want to join a company that's shrinking."
