Pros

Subsidised travel but only after you pass 6 month probation.

Cons

End up working extremely long hours, no documentation, no proper processes nor is there a strategy. The IT team do not want to implement any new technology as this company is a combination of bought companies, i.e. Thompson cook etc. Each area works in its own way and there is a high attrition rate in this company due to bad company culture and outsourced services with poor services provided. You cannot provide any real change as senior management is intent on just keeping the wheels turning and do not want to disturb a working model. This company is behind in PCI DSS compliance and also risk management is done off the cuff, there is alot of administration for this role as there is no investment of technology. If you want to be want to be stagnant in this role, then please do no join this organisation as you'll be working on legacy systems and nothing cutting edge. Leadership are a joke and I've been trying to help find appropriate cover, however, everyone keeps rejecting due to the long winded 4 stage interview process. Alot of favouritism in this organisation to the old boys club who are all living a lie thinking they do not need to uplift legacy infrastructure.

Pros

Travel discounts and options (role dependant) Global (good to mix with other cultures)

Cons

Very poor pay with no salary increases ("because you're on a maximum for your band" - which is a lie) Facefit culture - won't move up unless you rub shoulders with the right people Bullying Poor leadership, driving culture from top down Restructures done by removing junior teams, rather than countless directors. So everyone else has more work with no overtime pay
