People are people, not numbers. Effort is seen and rewarded. The company is always looking for growth. Far from being in a mature situation, the company is big and the potential enormous, so there are and will be opportunities for everyone. Proud of being part of this family.

Nice renovated offices in Causeway Bay 9 to 5 30 hours OK place if you just want to “float” but don’t have real career ambitions

Cons

Heads of Departments and MD pulled in from other businesses and don’t really know well the Services which they administer. Revolving door of leadership. MD uses Peter Principle to hire rather than value real talent and track record. No real meritocracy eg one of the Heads of Department in HK only has high school level qualifications. Not OK, especially in HK where credentials are valued. Lots wrong internally. MD makes sure that the inner circle is only yes people rather than value different views. Gives rise to glass ceiling and chemistry issues with management, especially if you have career goals and want to get ahead. Try it and you may not like it.

We foster career development and internal promotion is always our first preference when there is opening in the organization - in Hong Kong, we have an internal promotion rate of 19% over the past 12 months alone. We believe in working as a team in a transparent structure and appreciate that with a diverse team, leadership styles may vary but this is a value we uphold and commit to at TMF Group.
