Pros

Very few pros, when I first began to work here, the management team was extraordinary, everything would get done, and the store was always extremely clean. However, our store manager left and then everything went downhill. However, three of the managers were very kind and helpful, schedule is also very flexible.

Cons

Co-workers were pretty awful, a lot of tension, many of them were extremely lazy. The store manager did nothing, he would take at least one week vacation every two months, never there. The costumers are the worst part, extremely bratty, always want discounts, as if the don't understand this already is a discount store, and some things come here because there is something wrong with them. The discount is a joke, where I like tax is very high, so in the end it takes a couple cents. Another con is the TJX Rewards, extremely annoying, no ONE wants a card and you are always required to ask, even though most customers get angry when you do so. Also the Loss Prevention is extremely untrained, and very weird, the times our store got robbed, they did nothing about it.

Pros

flexible work schedule, a very modest discount, you barely have to think at work if that is something that appeals to you, employer is Code Adam certified (for missing children in store).

Cons

supervisors talk about you behind your back or in front of your face to other employees. quit for this. supervisors belittle you when you ask for proper pay. Or literally laugh and walk away. other teammates are broken by being treated horribly and it's hard to stay positive employer cuts as many corners as possible, with merch, with employees. employer makes you watch "anti union" propaganda upon hire employer makes you sign arbitration agreement (i.e. you cannot sue them)

Pros

The merchandise and certain co-workers

Cons

Lack of communication between management, gossip between co-workers and management, management involved in rumor spreading about every employee to other employees, $8 an hour , shortage of employees, management has favorites, bullying from management and other employees, management always "magically disappearing" to go out and make personal phone calls when they're needed, no room for moving up in this company
