Pros

food in break room sometimes and extremely flexible in schedule, good managers for the most part

Cons

i have just recently started doing door and its very exhausting, all you do is stand there welcome people in and count people in due to covid. its ok and sometimes even nice but after the 3rd or 4th hour i feel like im going crazy just starring outside, yes we do get breaks but sometimes they forget and doing it for your entire shift up to nine hours is a huge part of me quitting. i genuinely did love my job before this but i now all i do is door but one day out of my work week and it just takes a much bigger toll on my mental health standing for so long doing nothing for hours at a time, i talked to my manager asking to switch out with other coworkers halfway or even every other day but nothing has happened . i understand i signed up for this job but if i knew it would turn into this i never would have taken it. im going to miss my coworkers so much but i dread work now and it feels so unnatural. i really hope tjmaxx does something about this because i know im not the only one leaving because of this also (the location isn't accurate i just am to nervous to put mine)

Pros

The only pro about working at for this company is the possibility that you may have coworkers that you actually enjoy being around everything else pretty much sucks.

Cons

I had worked at this location in the RIM for a year now and i have not received ONE raise not even a quarter. and according to people who have been there for a long time I will probably never get another raise because it’s like pulling teeth trying to get one out of this billion dollar corporation. During all of this pandemic they claim to care for their associates but in all reality they care about the money. customers are not required to wear a mask or face covering although it is mandated and we cannot refuse them service if they don’t have one on although cases are SPIKING DRASTICALLY. We have a capacity posted and once we get near or hit capacity half the time they still allow people to come in. The lines at the store are crazy long and management hardly ever make customers wait in a line outside due to the number of people inside the store only because the customers complain out having to be outside and then when they get inside complain about social distancing. It’s ridiculous what they let these customers get away with all so they don’t make any complaints because all the manager cares about is the overall satisfaction percentage. Every store has policies they abide by as does TJ Maxx so cashiers are trained with these policies but if the customer makes a big enough fuss they will end up getting whatever they want anyway and the managers reasoning is, and i quote “We don’t want a dock on the OSAT” why put policies in place if you just override the cashiers judgment anyway. The favoritism is completely obvious. They choose people to be in management positions based on how much the associate kisses their behind. No one and when i tell you no one cares or listens to half the managers there because they have no role of authority and the managers who do their job right are a joy to be around and people actually listen and care what they have to say. The managers pull people in during work hours while the store is slammed just to talk to them about getting the customers to apply for the credit card so the managers can get raises when all they do is sit in the office. I once had a 10 hour shift and I saw my manger 1 time because all she did was sit in the office. Those are the people getting paid more than the regular associates. Personally I do the job of 3 people and I will never get paid as much as the manager who sits in the office. I promise this place is NOT worth the time or money or lack there of
