Pros

I worked in Syngenta for more than 10 years and I found Flexible working environment, Market average salaries, different and diversified culture. Company is having top brands and good portfolio.

Cons

Currently downsizing heavly knowing the fact that they are losing the talent. No good employee benefits. Company is having many silo groups in each function with their own interest and goals.

Pros

Great people to work with. Strong R&D based organization with a lot of new products that create excitement within employees. Great benefits. Strong reputation with customers. Always opportunities to advance, as long as you can relocate each time.

Cons

Disconnect between senior managers and employees, facilities in Greensboro, NC are embarrassing compared to what other companies offer as a work environment. Company tried to integrate in 2011 but decided to keep a seeds office in MN and CP office in NC. Sales team is being asked to do too much across all product lines and crops, long hours are needed to keep up.

Beautiful Office not so Beautiful Work Experience

Pros

The people that work at Syngenta are, for the most part, very pleasant and professional. They care about doing a good job and work very hard to achieve all of the goals they are given.

Cons

Employees are expected to work on large projects as well as their "day jobs". IT staff including Business Analysts have been outsourced and the business experts wind up doing the job of the Business Analyst because knowledge transfer has not happened. Key people are continually the "go to" employees for all of this type of work.
