      Pros

      Benefits were mostly paid by the company, good dental insurance and online access to doctor/nurse. Insured from day one which is great.

      Cons

      This made me understand why people do not like insurance companies… lots of pressure caused by the important amount of work (80 files-100 files per case manager) which in turns creates insane amount of stress on the employees and poor customer service.

      My journey with Sunlife began 3yrs back and I count these as years of enormous learning . The leadership team at Sunlife is fully committed to strengthen and nurture the two pillars - Technology and Culture, that drive the organization’s vision. As the organisation is rapidly moving forward in its digital transformation journey, it provides immense opportunities for its people to work on latest and wide spectrum of technologies , in Agile and nimble teams, empowered to experiment and learn- Devops, Mainframe modernisation, Automation are some of the pivotal goals that most teams are tracking. Niche skills like Pega and Salesforce are also picking up,with specialised Agile teams setup to deliver these capabilities. Polly spilling, cross skilling, Job rotation , mentorship are some key programs that support people to grow in their professional journey. With technology, data and analytics at heart enabled with People oriented culture and a dynamic and potent leadership team, Sunlife definitely is a ‘Great place to work’, an honour truly earned.

      Various teams at Sunlife are doing some great work in technology and processes, there is an opportunity to create more synergy amongst these teams and drive goals centrally and learn from each other

      Salary and Benefits. None I can think of anymore.

      Cons

      As a company, Sunlife is a great company, don't get me wrong. But still, a great company will always still have that team wherein you wouldn't want to be part of, and unfortunately, I was. A bully, someone who will shame you in front of other people, and when they can't contain you, they'll spread gossips about you. That's the core of this team. What makes it worse is that your Manager will most likely believe them and will make excuses for them. Beware of this team. IT team related to insurance.
