Pros

I learned a lot throughout the summer, lots of hand on experience and lots of responsibility

Cons

lack of training from the corporation. for example, i was expected to know a lot by the first day which seemed a little unreasonable.

Thank you for taking the time to review Sixt! We are glad that you gained a lot of knowledge throughout your internship experience with us. Depending on the internship, different training is provided. For instance, if you are interning at a branch location there is a mandatory one week training for all new hires at our headquarters. This provides you with extensive knowledge of our fleet, sales processes, etc. If your internship was located at our HQ then our management team will provide the proper training. Regardless we will look into our summer internship processes and further investigate your concern.

Fun work environment

Pros

You have the ability to steer your responsibilities, while growth is rapid. The management trainee program gives you an accelerated path to managing and lots of responsibility right out of school. Fun culture and good-looking people.

Cons

Pay and benefits lag behind the rest of the industry. Staying with the company for a long time is not incentivized with retirement plans, etc. Family business based in Germany - rocky road to upper management. Not family-friendly.

Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to review Sixt as your current employer! We are glad that the Management Trainee position has offered you the growth, responsibility, and fun atmosphere that you desired. It is our priority to ensure that all of our employees are enjoying the work environment that Sixt provides and hope that you will continue to grow with us! To discuss your compensation concern, the pay for IMT’s and Branch Managers are very competitive compared to other companies. With the trainee role not only are you offered a base, you also receive a company vehicle, paid flight costs to each rotation, and paid extended stay living. Therefore, the normal costs you would incur with other training roles, you do not with us. Also, as a Branch Manager you will receive a significant bump in base salary, a company vehicle and additional bonuses based off of how well your branch is performing. With all of our positions we offer medical, dental, and vision benefits, paid time off, and paid holidays. Although we do not have a retirement plan yet, this is in the works and will be something that we acquire in the near future for our employees. If you would like to discuss any of your above feedback with HR we encourage you to do so! Please reach out to Gaddy Fernandez directly at 954-874-1793.
