      Branch Manager

      Pros

      Meeting a lot of ambitious 20-30 year olds. Company car, phone, possible travel. Free dry-cleaning. Opportunity to learn how to run a business by yourself!

      Cons

      Poor corporate structure and work environment. Absolutely no work-life balance. Expected to put in at least 50-60 hours and have your company phone on 24/7. The uniform is horrific. Ladies- heels all day.

      Thank you for your review. Great to hear that you enjoyed the benefits of being a Branch Manager while with Sixt. It is our goal to provide all the tools necessary to allow our Branch Managers to flourish in an entrepreneurial environment. As a Branch Manager there is a lot of work that goes into growing your own branch, especially at the early stages of having a brand new location. Not only are you building your staff, you are also building a presence within the community. Additionally, you are responsible for many other tasks that keep your business afloat with the help of our headquarter team. With this said there are work weeks that you will put in 50-60 hours and if your branch has overnight staff you will need to be available in case of emergencies. This is very clear when entering into the Management Trainee program before becoming a Branch Manager. The role is extremely entrepreneurial in nature. Of course, hard work does not go unnoticed at Sixt. There are countless instances where Junior Branch Managers have developed into Senior Managers, moved into larger branches, or have taken over additional locations. Passion for the business environment will get you very far with Sixt!

      Pros

      Ability to generate clientele, flexible hours, access to supervisor, great rental benefits for employees and family/friends.

      Cons

      Misleading information to customers, lack of corporate involvement in correcting fleet issues, not enough vehicles to complete job successfully, most other RSA's do not do jobs effectively and there is plenty of room for coworkers to steal clients from each other for commission sake.

      We appreciate your review! It is great to hear that you enjoyed the flexibility, rental benefits, and access to management during your time with Sixt. To address your concerns, our corporate team as well as our local fleet departments work very hard to make sure that we have the proper vehicles for our customers at the right time. Of course, within the car rental industry factors such as seasonality or late returns can affect what vehicles we have available. Due to these inconsistencies, Rental Sales Agents do have to problem solve with the customers best interest in mind. We encourage honesty and offerings that best suit the customer’s needs. We agree, we should have consistency with addressing tardiness, etc. Our Branch Managers are working collectively with Human Resources to make sure that we are effective with this process.
