Pros

Satair is the preffered partner for materials solutions in aerospace. Founded out of the former Satair NA in Denmark and the Airbus materials business unit it is today a successfull global company with 1300 employees. Working in Satair combines the dinamic of an agile midsize company with the advantages of being a 100% Airbus subsidiary. Great working atmosphere and fantastic peers.

Cons

Post merger integration is not really concluded, still you observe duplicity and different ways of doing things in Danmark and in Hamburg.

Pros

The warehouse work is simple; very little training required. Plenty of opportunities for overtime. Benefits for dental and medical. Free amenities include: numerous beverages in break room from mineral water and coffee to juice and soda, fresh fruit provided Thursdays, employer frequently supplies free meals during company functions, storage for personal items, and some tools assigned to employees free of charge. Tuition assistance. Percentage of gym expenses covered.

Cons

Change comes quick from above, yet almost never from employee suggestions. There is little to no formal training on any of the procedures; employees are supposed to be given access to an online library of standard operating procedures (SOP) yet many of them lack access. Most positions are taught by the employee currently performing the task and can lead to confusion. Moral is very low.

Pros

The coffee is great, the workers are nice as well.

Cons

Insurance costs are outrageous, the company treats European employees better than US, in areas of pay, vacation, insurance, etc. Management was more dictatorship style, communication between areas was discouraged, always try to resolve issue with boss other than with affected areas. Some bosses were bully's to their people.
