      Good for learning but cannot make a career in Bosch

      Pros

      1) Good for learning 2) Better onsite opportunities

      Cons

      1) Promotions are biased (yes, it is biased) 2) Company onsite policies are highly un-reasonable 3) Hikes are very less 4) Designation levels in the company is hidden and cryptic for new comers 5) Internet Usage policies are pathetic 6) The free lunch and breakfast are all accounted and hence the company management is good at playing with accounts ( salary structure) 7) Bosch Values are only for namesake, nobody in the company including the senior management, follows it.

      1) You basically have the opportunity of working all over the world, by changing offices for 3-4 years period 2) Employee satisfaction and life-work balance is of high importance for the top management 3) Have the feeling you belong to a big, international family. Once at Bosch, always at Bosch 4) Very varios business within one company (power took, automotive, solar, medical, heavy machinery). You can work in your area of expertise, but rotate in in completely different businesses. 5) Cross functional expertise is encourage. You get the opp to jump from one business area (i.e. purchasing) into another (logistics) 6) Great development programs for potential managers (i.e. JUMP = junior manager program) 7) Stable profitable business

      Cons

      Management dominated by male-german colleagues. The tendency might change in the future, since different internal projects have been started to promote employees women into mngt. positions.
