Pros

Excellent training, great opportunity to work with large companies on complex IT initiatives, clear metrics that lead to lucrative raises, small company feel with stability of large corporation (EMC), management does a great job preparing account managers for field sales roles as well as roles in other lines of business. New CEO is doing great things with the strategic vision as well as offering cool perks that include free snacks, company ski trip, PAC man machine, etc.

Cons

Facilities could use an update. Office furniture and phones are old school, but upper management has conveyed that this is a priority in the future.

Pros

I have worked for a few different companies, some of which emphasize a certain culture and others that do not. At times that culture was forced and felt inauthentic and manufactured, something which quickly washes over you before wearing away. The reality within the sales team at RSA is that the culture is real and the feeling is shared and sincere. We enjoy working together, collaborating together, laughing and joking together, and really getting to know those on the team. Coming to work is not a drag and is never dull because everyone on the sales team genuinely wants to be here. Few companies allow so much exposure for younger, up and coming employees to learn from managers who in many cases have been working within the IT and cyber security industry for decades. In my travels there can be a definite lack of humility and holier-than-thou attitude espoused by management but that is simply not the case here. Whether approaching your direct manager or another manager on the team, you are going to receive assistance and guidance. Do not be scared off if you do not have a background in sales, cyber security, or both. Everything is gleaned from the onboarding process but your training will not end there. There is a constant emphasis on learning and growth through various training programs and other exercises geared toward development. If you are competent, driven, and want to make a difference in the cyber security world, this is the place for you. Finally, most people get into sales for the money. The compensation here is great and if you exceed your quota, a very attainable proposition, the compensation can become exceptional. This coupled with semiannual reviews means you can very quickly exceed even your starting salary.

Cons

At times the facilities can feel a bit outdated but there has been a renewed focus and energy toward making those improvements to the buildings and the grounds.
