- Poor pay - and it is extremely difficult to get any kind of pay rise, despite changes to job role/ responsibilities - there doesn't seem to be any formal method by which to request or put an argument forward for a payrise. Annual pay rises are barely in line with inflation.
- Bonus scheme ended two years ago, as did a number of pre-existing benefits. Poor incentives for staff to remain motivated. There is a general feeling of being undervalued and being 'cogs in a machine.'
- The business has shown very little interest in any serious changes to diversity and equality practices and has stated that this is not a priority for them currently.
- Poor progression opportunities. Management structure is pretty flat, and there are no set salary bands - people across all genders and levels of seniority seem to be paid completely at random - and there seems to be great reluctance to bring salaries in line with each other within the business (and certainly not in line with external market).
- Integration of the UK business with the Italian business is a disaster and the UK business is becoming more and more dysfunctional, as people leave to go to better paying employers with systems and software that actually works.
- General feeling of worry and insecurity in the UK teams. There is very little trust for upper management and HR within the company (seems to be little/ no confidentiality).
- Awful invoicing and time management software has been introduced, which adds hours to people's work and is incredibly disjointed and frustrating.
- New employees entering the business are feeling like they have been tricked and lied to, as they have been promised progression and perks which are simply not there.
- There are no staff morale or team building activities any longer. There used to be annual AGMs and staff parties at set points throughout the year, however these have also ended with no official word from upper management (staff are doubtful that we will even be able to have a Christmas party this year) so there is very little to keep staff motivated in their work.
