Pros

Philips products do positively effect people's lives. Benefits are slightly above average.

Cons

Multi cultural organization due to acquisitions; not well integrated. Too political. If you are not part of the 'in crowd' your input is never considered. Opposing views or ideas are frowned upon and attacked. Collaboration is non-existent between organizations and departments. Very territorial. Suffers from 'not invented here'. Development cycles too excessive and bloated. Rarely listens to customers or employees. Reorganizes too frequently. Constant change never allows new innovations/direction to take root. Set a goal(s) and stick to it.

Pros

Pretty good benefits package, some mid-level managers are excellent while others need to work on their people/management skills, quality products.

Cons

Don't expect any assistance/guidance if you need some information to do your job. A lot of the old HP folks tend to keep information close to the vest and seem more interested in protecting their turf. If you like working with a bunch of Type A personalities, this is the place for you.
