Pros

Benefits like Car lease, Flexi benefits plans.

Cons

Very few teams still have the work life balance. There used to be a time when we used to sign out by 5 or 6pm. Gone are those days. Single digit hikes have become a norm. They say no bell curve in appraisals, and yet people who have slogged the entire year, even working on weekends at a stretch for months, get a 2 rating. There used to be a lot of benefits, each year gradually they have been cut down. Hardly any full time hiring now, we only get contract based employees.

Thank you for saying a few words about your experience at Philips in Bengaluru. We regret to hear that the salary and benefits offered, especially during your most recent years at the company, aren't what you had hoped and that you've been facing difficulties in maintaining a healthy balance between your work and personal life. We’re frequently reviewing our compensation policy, as to be in line with market practices; your feedback is valuable to us and has been noted. We completely understand that our people have a life outside work too and we hope that we can encourage you to schedule a meeting with your manager or HR representative to further discuss how your work/life balance could be improved. Thank you again for the review. We wish you all the best moving forward.

Pros

Pay scale Vacation Work place ergonomics, cafeteria

Cons

Lethargic to change way of working even if BU is sinking No FORM60 Still many employee have no core knowledge PG intern recruitment is waste as project hires VLSI, non C / C++ student to force work on Embedded projects. In past 5-7 yrs, employees who joins Philips, 70% people leaves, so only those grey hair peoples are surviving.

Thank you for writing this review. Your feedback is very welcome. We're pleased to hear that you've been happily working as Software Engineer at Philips in Pune for more than 2 years and that especially the work environment, the amount of vacation days and the compensation offered stand out for you. Understanding what is and what is not working for our employees helps us to improve as employer; therefore, we appreciate it that you've also decided to share what you think should be changed. We'll make sure that your comments on the ability to influence processes, the (missing of) Form 60, our intern recruitment process and other feedback is noted. If you feel the need to discuss any of these points in more detail, we would kindly recommend scheduling a meeting with your manager or HR representative. Thank you again for taking the time to leave your review here on Glassdoor. We're glad to have you on this journey with us and we wish you all the best with your career at the company.
