Pros

+ Collaborative co-workers. I've never had anyone not want to collaborate over the time I've been at Personio. People are open, responsive and keen to connect. + Flexible working style. As a parent to young children, flexibility has taken on a whole new meaning in the previous years. I've been able to navigate childcare issues and the kids getting sick in a supportive environment which is valuable to me. There's also almost no after-hours Slack and as most of us are in Europe, there is not that feeling of a whole day of business happening overnight like there is in other companies I've worked for. + Significant growth opportunity - Personio is young and growing quickly, so I've found that the level of challenge here is high. The work is challenging but exciting. + My direct leader is wonderful.

Cons

- Change is uncoordinated at times and there is change fatigue in some parts of the business. - Workload is high and there are many inefficiencies that can be time-consuming.

Pros

There are so many cons that the little cons that were there didn’t matter. But great colleagues, food twice in office. Free drinks bar.

Cons

- They lied while hiring around targets. Hardly anyone gets them. - the lucky few who get to pass probation, who don’t even know how they did it, are in an endless loop. No promotion chances because of clear favouritism. - no transparency at all while taking decisions. - the managers don’t know what they’re doing. Thankfully one of them got laid off, I had hardly seen the guy do anything useful or related to work. - you can’t stand up to the management or provide them feedback. Everyone just blames the top management eventually.

Hello, thank you for taking a moment to provide us with this feedback. I’m sorry to hear that your Personio experience hasn’t been a positive one for you. Especially because, as a member of Sales leadership, I can say that we genuinely care about the wellbeing of our people and want to provide only a positive experience for our teams. We’re building a culture of regular feedback at Personio, including upwards feedback. We’ve build in multiple avenues for our teams to provide that feedback to their managers or above, like our anonymous engagement surveys, regular AMAs in Northern and Southern Europe monthly meetings, anonymous menti polls, and more. We are also focused on setting our Sales team members up for success for their next career steps, be that at Personio or elsewhere, through individualized development plans and transparent, consistent performance management frameworks. Again, thank you for taking the time to reach out with this feedback. Please also remember that our People Partner team is here to support you – they’re available for a confidential talk to help solve for situations just like this. Or, if you’re open to it, I would be happy to continue this conversation as well and talk more about how we can continue to improve. Please feel free to email me at samatha.ledger@personio.de.
