      Pros

      - Make important products that do help people. - Most people there care about what they are doing and the people around them. - Work/life balance is good.

      Cons

      - Layoffs have become a way of life. The view is that it is easier to get rid of people than move them. - People are expendable unless they are considered a top 10-15% employee and compensation follows that belief. - Growth from buying other companies rather than from innovating. - Upper management is very much CYA and will throw anyone under the bus.

      It's a job with an insurance plan.

      Cons

      Company does layoffs semi-annually. You're not a real person to upper management, just a number to pad their bottom line while the CEO enjoys banking tens of millions in compensation per year. They don't care if you uproot your life and your family and dedicate your heart and soul to the business, they'll put you out on the streets without losing a wink of sleep. If you work here, you should only use them as a stepping stone for better things and constantly be ready to leave at a moment's notice.
