      Pros

      -Well-known company in market-leading position. -Locations throughout the world.

      Cons

      -Swabian-dominated regardless of what HR materials claim. International employees are often at a disadvantage. -Few people are offered a roadmap on how they can progress throughout their career. -Mercedes unit profit margins are no longer the same as they were in the past and products are relying more on gimmicky technology which is not sustainable.

      Strong Brand. Good financial backgroud to fund (innovative) projects. Secure job. Chance to work at home. Possibilities to work in different business units or abroad.

      Cons

      EBIT driven. Complex and insufficient corporate processes and policies. Conservative Leadership. Decision making by hierarchy. Conservative mindset. Difficulties to hire new tech talents. Weak career development process. Career path widely dependent on seniority than on skills. Weak failure culture. Too much discussions and wasting time und huge meetings (or what they call now "workshops"). Lack of patience for new methods, processes or projects.

      Freedom to innovate, excellent work environment, great collegues, working for the biggest company of germany. Excellent place for career development. Can relocate almost everywhere in Europe. Pay is in Euros. Excellent social security and health insurance system. Best economy in Europe. Excellent company culture and traditionm. Employers value your effort and dedication.

      Cons

      Difficult to move up in the company, Germans tend to stay very long on the same job position. Different society and culture than the american way, it is difficult to get used to it. Germans behave very different from americans. You must pay almost 45% of income in taxes.
