      Pros

      Excellent work culture with strong focus on results delivered the right way. All old sins of the past have been tackled head-on by current management. So a lot of old timers who were cheating the company are either complaining as their dirty game is up or have been asked to leave the company.

      Cons

      Pressure to perform as the company is focused on driving profitable sales. Easy low margin sales are discouraged by management.

      You get to know how brick and mortar industry works and how German companies work. 9 to 5 job.

      Cons

      If you dont belong to retail industry, dont even think of joining METRO. Their culture is the worst among companies I worked. Most of the employees in Bangalore Head Quarters are North Indians and they clearly biased towards the same race. Disgusting. They will isolate you if you are not from their places. Over paid KAMs, Senior Managers, MDs. All these folks will suffer big time once retail goes completely online. HR doesnt care about building a team but keep boosting it as great place to work. All their great place to work rankings are manipulated. They come after you and demand to give positive feedback.

      Pros

      I was a full time employee and enjoyed working with METRO until the new MD Arvind Mediratta joined and ruined the company. He has brought it to its knees and every one is living in fear of losing their jobs. He does not know his mind, has no strong business knowledge and is bringing in his own people who can lick his boots. He is full of himself and likes sycophancy. Does not take advice or constructive feedback, has made it a really bad place to work.

      Cons

      You have to be a favourite of the MD or one of his followers to be able to hold your job He is a horrible person, worse than a poisonous snake, insecure and fears his own job and position. His management cannot stand up to him as he does not appreciate any negative feedback. he says something in front of you and does something behind your back.
