Cons

Promotion system is complicated and time-wasting for people who really need to be promoted to get the job done. Salary review lags behind the market.

Pros

Trainings are good. Lots of on the job training. Suppliers get payments on time

Cons

1) high politics- your hardwork is less important than your closeness to boss. 2) negotiate as much salary as you can. Once you enter, you never know your growth path. You will see new joinees and MT with less or zero experience having much higher salary than yours 3) unrealistic expectations and no clarity- you will do stuff outside your KRA just to please your boss. Targets are too steep and there is little consideration for non delivery unless you are very close to your boss. 4) HR- human resource is good for nothing. Work life balance of the employees are in a mess.

Pros

Good processes , great understanding of retail industry through METRO . A visionary CEO . German operating processes are good , finance and marketing department are good .

Cons

Middle management very political . Company policies and the German system does not reach the junior employees. Some good employees are asked to leave if they do not fit in the political agenda. Extra Marital affairs happening which is giving focus to favoring the few. HR does not focus on bright candidates that need a voice but on candidates that politically support the system . HR not able to protect employees interest
