Pros
Lots of job security with good pay and benefits. Potential for career growth with emerging programs everywhere. The software engineers are usually very sharp and great to work with.
Cons
Due to living in the shadow of the ancient THAAD program, IT, IA, Cyber, and Safety teams are behind the times and often not willing to listen when it comes to emerging technologies. Some of these people have been here since the beginning of time. There's lots of bureaucracy with people standing in the way of innovation of new technologies, and you will hit constant blockers with trying to implement new tools or methodologies which would prove beneficial in a professional environment.
