      Growing pains but a lot of potential

      Pros

      Great benefits - bixi pass, metro pass, health + dental, referrals Generous kitchen - great local coffee, fruits and healthy snacks + a never ending supply of bagels Relaxed office environment - comfortable attire, very chill office with music, very much a start up vibe Amazing team members - expect to make friends and laugh while you work Competitive salary - depends on departments but a lot of bonus opportunity in sales + other departments Great tools - nice macbooks

      Cons

      Not a lot of vacation time in certain departments Everything written about sales is true - this department is not for faint hearts or weak livers Coming in early is meaningless - staying beyond 6 is everything, even if you are just eating bagels and watching youtube Parking in Montreal is awful - live downtown and rely on metro Career opportunities are not obvious but they are there No retirement plan Lots of internal bottlenecks around problem solving Sales first, company second

      Pros

      - Culture, the people you work with are great - motivated, young, hard working and ambitious. - Lightspeed is constantly evolving which keeps things interesting. You have to embrace the unknown and the chaos! - Good benefits package - Dax, current CEO, is still involved and very approachable

      Cons

      - Long hours, don't expect to be out by 5pm if you work in sales. - Not enough flexibility in terms of vacations, work from home

As a growing company, in a fast-paced environment, we don’t embody the typical punch-clock mentality, and we greatly appreciate everyone’s ability to work hard in order to see the results.       Pros

      Amazing company, great culture, talented, diverse and dynamic workforce, friendly environment, and a great CEO! I look forward to coming to work every morning, because they care about their employees and are passionate about what they do. Most of my colleagues are happy people and from all over the world which makes working at Lightspeed 100 times more attractive! The company offers a great insurance plan, transportation benefits, stock options opportunities, and free healthy snacks, to name a few.

      Cons

      If you are not a hard worker, you may want to think twice about working at Lightspeed.
