      I have been an employee at Lightspeed for 10 years and I have seen a drastic change in the company's culture. The company used to be a fun and fulfilling place to work, where management truly cared about the well-being and career growth of their employees. The atmosphere was positive and it was a pleasure to come to work each day. However, in recent years, the company's new vision has completely transformed the culture into a cutthroat and profit-driven environment. The management has become insensitive and only cares about increasing profits, disregarding the happiness and well-being of their employees. It's heartbreaking to see the hard work of previous managers and the positive culture they built, all go to waste. While I understand that a company must evolve and change to grow, Lightspeed could have done so in a much better and more considerate way. I would not recommend this company as a place to work to anyone.

      Immature conglomerate of companies

      Pros

      People are nice and mostly want to help. Modern tech stack. Interesting problems to solve.

      Cons

      Lack of stability. Too many managers in other areas, not enough in data. Complex org structure makes it difficult to execute on things. Immature data organization with goals exceeding capacity. Below market compensation. Cumbersome HR processes. Company is more like several companies in one.
