Pros

You get to meet so many people. You are given responsibilities and tasks. Your pay does increase the longer you are there. You get double pay on bank holidays and time and a half in Sunday's. There are so many different roles within a sales assistant job, cashier, baker, packer, freshness monitor, warehouse responsible person and floor manager. You get paid for every MINUTE worked.

Cons

The packers hours starts at 3am. You don't get regular breaks, ie you could be waiting 5+ hours. The shifts can be long and if a cashier all day, extremely boring. Customers can be rude.

Pros

Exciting and challenging. Lots to do and can personally make a real impact on how our company expansion will look in the US. Different daily challenges keep it interesting.

Cons

With so much going on can sometimes lose the overview of what is going on. However line manager keeps us appraised of the bigger picture regularly.
