Pros

the company provides excellent sales training, a car for reps, cell phone, and really wants you to do well. Everyone I've interacted with in the sales department is very intelligent, kind, and helpful when you have questions.

Cons

it is EXTREMELY difficult if you're new to the security industry; almost NO training on what to sell to customers. The systems are ANCIENT and HORRIBLE, especially if you're good with computers. The systems are incredibly slow and will make your motivation drop. Selling exclusively security services isn't financially sustainable or possible, you HAVE to learn how to sell equipment. The role requires you to check in with customers for resellable opportunities. These almost never pan out since most companies are managed by national accounts, and therefore can't be sold to unless they moved out.

Pros

Lots of opportunities to grow within the company and make good money. JCI provides lots of training, and pushes employees to better themselves.

Cons

Lots of internal silos and red tape. Sometimes forget that the number one priority should be the customers.
