      Pros

      It is a very entrepreneurial environment. If you are very motivated with a vision and can make things happen with little or no support you will be rewarded here. The potential to move up quickly for the extraordinarily talented is greater here than the larger firms.

      Cons

      Unless you are super motivated, already have connections and need little support to be successful you will likely find it a frustrating place to work. Training is minimal, operations is under staffed and support can be very hard to obtain. Most of the successful people here are workaholics.

      Pros

      Global outsourcing is still viewed as a primary way to cut IT costs by most companies bringing a plethora of opportunities to Indian outsourcing companies. Good exposure to a wide variety of technology projects.

      Cons

      Most Infosys project managers and above do not have the project management experience required to craft and execute large engagements leading to projects run poorly. Employees are always under working under stringent and unrealistic deadlines and do not get the well rounded exposure needed to grow in their careers.

      Pros

      People at the right place at the right time have a lot to benefit from a company like Infosys. Despite the random placement of recruits, IF you are lucky, Infosys has the best to offer in terms of technology, management and work experience abroad. There have never been any hurdles for an individual's quest for knowledge.

      Cons

      The only way you can expect to grow in this organization is by the kind of rapport you hold with your managers. Do not expect your work to do the talking for you. The appraisal system is so flawed that the senior management has been empowered to an extent where in they can judge someone's work based on their personal bias.
