Pros

Indeed instills a wonderful team environment where everyone is collaborative, supportive and wants to help one another. The day to day office environment was something I looked forward to and the company itself has a very "people first" mindset. Compensation in sales from a bonus standpoint is very nice (not so much base though) and the unlimited PTO (typically followed UNLESS your director disproves) is such a nice gift since many employees put their all into their sales role.

Cons

I was at Indeed for 5+ years and after about year 3, became "just a number." Indeed started putting unattainable goals in front of reps and then rolled out a product like PPA, skewing the outcome of quarter over quarter growth when clients were racking up charges and then sales ops could not understand still 2 years later, that this should NOT be incorporated in a sales quota if that was never intentional and the rep did all in their power to attempt to coach, prevent, and get in touch with the client about it. The past 6 months, about half of the reps I know and have worked with for a long time have been put on dev plans and PIP's, myself included, with the goal of just being pushed out. Many managers and senior directors are being very hands off in providing any assistance, if they are, and Indeed as a whole seems unable to accept that although yes, many companies are hiring, are not finding value in Indeed nor spending money on advertising and that to avoid layoffs, these companies are having to conserve budget where possible. I was sad to go and sad to be pushed out the way that I felt that I was, when I gave my absolute all to the company and came to work every single day, ready to hit my goals, activity metrics and provide value to all of my clients that I worked with. Director's seem to have given up on having people's backs or even trying to help in attempts to protect themselves, and that will ultimately create a negative environment as it started to with my team my last few months there and even after being gone, continue to hear about on a weekly basis.

Pros

Indeed really takes care of their people - they organize happy hours, provide lunches and snacks in the office, organize events, etc. It's also hybrid - two days in the office, which is great.

Cons

The management at Indeed is poor. Different departments have their own KPIs to work towards but the KPIs across the different departments do not align. This causes friction within the teams and it is so frustrating. The culture at Indeed has deteriorated tremendously over the year, probably due to the layoffs and also how the management is micro managing every single one in the team. The director at Indeed is emotional and spreads her negativity to the people in the office. She has her own career goals that she wants to achieve but she enforces it on the entire sales team when we have our own sales KPIs and career goals to work towards. Entering the office is not something I look forward to anymore.

Pros

A care about work-life-balance and a good amount of guilt-free time off (end of year and summer weeks). Some very wonderful people did work here, some of them became great friends. IT support and computers are outstanding (M1 laptops). A real mission and opportunity to build interesting technology.

Cons

Brainwashed by ESG and leaders stopped listening to customers long time ago. There is a onslaught of updates around goals and plans but everything is always a work in progress. I do not feel leaders have a backbone and the volume of management people is nuts. There is so much red tape and lack of listening to real issues from teams that culminate in big announcements and no changes.
