Pros

Weekly happy hours, daily lunches (if you work in Austin anyway), constant communication from top. Successfully growing company.

Cons

Rah-rah culture makes it feel like a cult. Most employees are very young and immature, picture college. Work-life balance is awful, this is a 24/7/365 workplace. Expect to be constantly connected, they love taking advantage of younger employees who don't know any better both in terms of workable hours and pay. Certain departments are disproportionately compensated but they've corrected this problem with new hires in the last few years creating a huge compensation gap between old & new. Many older employees are stuck there knowing they can't move on without taking a pay cut. Once the company was sold off to Recruit, everything went downhill. Upper management loves to take credit for original founders' successes, rarely take into consideration their own employees. If you like doing kegstands every thursday, this is the place for you!

We're disappointed to hear that your past experience at Indeed didn't meet your expectations. As with any growing company, things have and will continue to change. We understand that creating an equal atmosphere of in-office perks is sometimes difficult to achieve internationally, even regionally, and we are constantly striving to make our employees feel appreciated. We invite you to email inside@indeed.com so we can learn more about your experience and investigate these concerns. Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts.

Pros

1) You will come across some great people at Indeed. You will make life long friends, and the perks of food, happy hours and team outings are fun. 2) If you are a recent graduate, you will learn a lot about the recruitment industry.

Cons

If you only read the first sentence, do not ever work here. Not even if you are desperate for a job. At some companies, you rise to the top by working hard and doing well. At Indeed, you can easily rise to the top by cheating, lying and pushing everyone out of the way to get there. Instead of a long explanation I can list out why I would not recommend Indeed: -If you want to move up you need to be favored by management -if you have an HR issue....good luck with having an anonymous complaint -if you don't feel comfortable with people swearing at you, not the place to be -Cheating to make your quota is okay if you don't get "caught" -HR has no problem lying to your face to get you to take a job there -60 call minimum a day even when you have more important things to do -Have an idea on how to improve? Too bad. -Remember high school drama? Welcome to Indeed High -Rules apply to some people, but not all people -CRM is unbearably terrible -The job itself is monotonous I could go on, but I hope that this in addition to the other reviews gives you a taste of why you should not work here.
