Pros

-Good base salary for inside sales (45-50k base) -Decent Bonus plan -Snacks -Free breakfast -Beer Fridays free beer after 6

Cons

- No lead generation -Stupid territories that do nothing but prevent people from making money or keeping their job. -Very abrasive and inappropriate management -Obvious favoritism -Terrible Leadership -Very Militaristic (if you arrive 1 minute late or more due to no fault of your own ie. train is late be prepared to be threatened by your manager and yelled at. -Expect to be always be trying to pick up leads (days off, weekends, after 6). - be yelled at by your manager for having a life outside of work besides prospecting - Only people making serious money are the people who got grandfathered in( got to keep accounts when we switched over to territories) everyone else needs to scrounge -People there are a bunch of jerks (High school cafeteria type environment) everyone knows everyone's business -Very catty atmosphere -Managers are constantly cursing - If accounts cancel through no fault of your own (company wide systematic billing error) no quota forgiveness

Pros

- work life balance is unbeatable - work can be fun and rewording - i've had 3 different managers and have had a positive experience with all of them - no micromanaging - free coffee and food at the office even for remote employees - WFH internet reimbursement - tons of free swag

Cons

leadership handled the lay offs horribly and they have been very tone deaf after it happened. Apart from the people that were laid off, an entire department received demotions for no reason, they just couldn't afford to have those people in that salary band any longer. I personally received a demotion even though all of my reviews have been meets and exceeds and I was on track for a promotion the following month. My demotion actually displaced me from product to operations and when I asked HR what my path back to PM would be (since this is what i was hired for, i was doing very well at it, and i also did not want to do operations) they told me i'd have to wait for another PM position to open and apply and interview like everyone else. This was very disheartening and demotivating because I went through 5 rounds of PM interviews to get hired initially.

Pros

Indeed has been a wonderful company with amazing culture but changes with leadership, products, all time low quota attainment (at least in my 4 years) are causing people to leave in droves.

Cons

Indeed is forcing clients to change to pay per applicant versus our pay per click pricing model since we can't grow anymore with our current model to make our shareholders happy. Looking to increase the spend per job is making our clients furious and no one wants to listen to feedback. While the spend per job increases, there is less job volume and quotas are created based on pay per click models causing sales to miss consistently. A lot of sales orgs are going through challenges with quota attainment but this seems to be self-inflicted. Indeed is looking at long-term growth but will experience short term struggles and for sales that is concerning. We also lost the face of sales this quarter, our CRO, who has been with Indeed and is "leaving for another opportunity" where I believe he sees the writing on the wall like many others. In my opinion, our new pricing model is going to make us the next monster.com since we always listen to jobseeker feedback but not our clients apparently.
