Pros

Global leader in the job search industry. Strong focus on AI and tech innovation. Offers generous severance and support during layoffs. Ongoing investment in new infrastructure. Fast-paced, high-impact work environment.

Cons

Four rounds of layoffs since 2023 raise job security concerns. Internal morale has dropped due to constant changes. Culture has shifted post-layoffs—less stability. Leadership turnover disrupts team direction. AI-driven automation may continue replacing roles.

Pros

The best part about Indeed was the people I got to directly work with. Truly some amazing folks who cared about their work. In less than 4 years I had 4 different managers and each were caring and overall great leaders. The work-life balance and benefits were also amazing.

Cons

There has been absolute chaos and very minimal strategic direction over the past 3 years. I was re-orged 3 times before ultimately being let go. Beyond your immediate levels of management, there seems to be no regard for people despite the corporate messaging that says otherwise. I'm not saying this just because I was let go. There was a palpable lack of energy and feeling like you are just a number long before I left.

Pros

- Open PTO - Benefits & Perks - Some leaders

Cons

The strategy for the company has completely shifted in the last few years, it used to be "job seeker first", now the main goal is to reach lofty revenue goal that seems completely out of touch with reality. Problematic leaders are not properly dealt with, which creates toxic culture, even though there ar many perks associated with tech companies - it's not enough. If you're not in Sales, the yearly merit increase is laughable, and for some departments there is no clear path for promotion, which leaves your salary barely increasing with the rising cost of labour year over year. The recent shift away from DEI was really disappointing to see.
