Pros

Good work life balance for some teams, a lot of amenities when people were in office

Cons

Tons of good people have left recently including the SVP of Engineering, Sr Director of TA, several managers at all levels, and tons of IC’s, all for good reason. They were a good company but haven’t handled growth well

Thanks for leaving a review of your work experience and your 3+ year of service at Indeed. We’ve grown substantially during this time frame, in large part because of the fantastic work of our Talent Attraction team. While we’re always aiming for high employee retention, we recognise that as the needs of the business change, it’s natural that some people will choose to further their career elsewhere. The quick recovery of the US job market has also contributed to many companies ramping up their hiring efforts and employees seeking new opportunities. In regards to the compensation, TA SLT recently worked closely with our partners in Compensation on a full market analysis for our Recruiting and Sourcing roles in the U.S., and in direct response to the data, we have adjusted the salary bands for U.S. recruiting and sourcing job profiles, effective June 1. If you want to speak to us further and confidentiality please email us at inside@indeed.com where we can work to address any concerns you may have.

Pros

Everyone I work with is kind, competent and generally awesome. My managers in particular have all been invested in helping me grow and learn. I also appreciate the work-from-home flexibility and unlimited PTO.

Cons

Despite my managers going to bat for me and a full year of top marks on my reviews, my promotion case was denied. I was also told that because I was at the top of my current payband I could no longer get raises. My managers were as crestfallen as I was - this wasn't a people issue, it was the system coming from HR.

Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback with us, and your continued service to Indeed. We appreciate all the positive factors you listed, such as supportive management and our unlimited PTO benefit, but are disappointed to read about the negative aspects. We care deeply about our employee’s career growth and can understand how that can be frustrating. We are listening and acting on all the feedback we receive across our external and internal feedback channels, so we appreciate the time you have taken to give us this. We strongly encourage employees to have 1:1 skip-level manager check-ins if facing problems, as well as reaching out to your HRBP so they are aware and can provide feedback upwards as well. If you have any additional feedback that you feel comfortable sharing with us, please do not hesitate to send an email to us at inside@indeed.com.
