Pros

For the most past Indeed was a great place to work for many years. The people were great, the pay was decent and leadership was very understanding through all of covid. The health benefits were amazing and you could really take a lot of the unlimited PTO is you were doing your work the rest of the time.

Cons

The biggest con is that leadership and the company seem to be adrift. A lot of senior members of the leadership team have left in the last 9 months and the company has seemed to have lost its way. They are constantly putting new product tweaks in place that are hurting employers and aren't wanted by them. The engineering teams seem to think they know what the clients wants but sales and CS, on the front lines, are having to deal with angry employers and having to explain why they are getting a worse ROI month after month. The company also keeps investing in side projects that don't work and are spending too long on them and too much money. There is also a lot of lip service about DE&I but other than IRGs there isn't a lot of changes happening in management.

Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback with us, as well as your years of service to Indeed. We appreciate all the positive factors you listed but are disappointed to read about the negative aspects. It is our priority to make sure we are listening and acting on the concerns and suggestions of our staff, as they are the ones who help build us up as a company, and are our biggest and most valuable assets. Rest assured we put the jobseeker first with every decision we make, as it’s one of our core values at Indeed. Innovation is another one of our five core values and we love to test new ideas, and sometimes not all projects are a hit, but this is how we learn and continue to grow. With growth comes certain challenges which we may not have experienced before so we really do appreciate the support of our employees through this time as we learn. We are aware that there is still work to be done in increasing diversity in some of our teams, and we appreciate the feedback you have given on this. Inclusion and Belonging is one of our core values, and the Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging team works in partnership with HR and senior leaders to develop action plans that embed DI&B into all of our people processes and strategies. Indeed places significant emphasis on creating a culture of inclusion and belonging for all employees, and ensuring everyone feels comfortable being themselves at work. Pros

Indeed is very inclusive and had a fantastic pandemic response. They also have a great work/life balance. The work style here is very independent and there is no micromanaging. You really have the opportunity to be self-sufficient. While we were not WFH, the in-office perks were phenomenal.

Cons

Upward mobility is VERY competitive. There is an extensive interview process for every promotion, and it's very common not to get promoted on the first or even second try. Client Success is also extremely underpaid.

Pros

Decent pay, open PTO, good snacks/food, I’ve met some lifelong friends

Cons

This was a great place when I first started and would have recommended to anyone. We had new management that started a few months ago who is basically echoing every thing that is coming out of the terrible leadership from NYC office. In the last year, 9/10 directors that I started with have left. This is not taken into account the countless reps that have also left. They don’t want people that will ask questions or bring up valid points, they are only looking at “yes-men/women”. They talk about career growth and progression but passed up on promoting anyone from the whole office to the next team lead position. 70-80% of the office is on some sort of plan currently. They say they want everyone to be here but don’t offer any assistance or help for the reps on these plans. They prioritize admin work and having the optics of doing good work instead of doing good work. If you want to be a robot and not express any opinions of your own, you should work here. Otherwise, run.

Thanks for leaving a review of your work experience in our Scottsdale office. We’ve read a number of reviews from Account Executives based in Scottsdale and have escalated them to the Sales Leadership team as low morale is not conducive to a growing sales team. We encourage you to hold us accountable by leaving a follow-up review if things are changing for the better or if you are still seeing the same issues as before. Only with feedback such as yours can we continue to improve. If you have any additional feedback that you would like to share in complete confidence, please send us an email as inside@indeed.com and we will pass it along to the HRBPs and Sales Leadership.
