Pros
They had good career opportunities and good careers advancements. There were career opportunities and career tracks and my manager allowed me the chance to make internal switches to other departments as and when opportunities arose. They also had clear distinct reporting structures so it was easy to directly speak with whoever I needed to, and was unencumbered by complicated layers of organisation. It was a very flat organisation structure, so to speak. Co-workers also similarly were co-operative and easy to get along as everyone understood that we were there to get the job done. It was easy working with them.
Cons
The compensation and benefits were somewhat unbalanced compared to my job scope, work load and responsibilities. I had to often clock overtime due to the high workload but the compensation and benefits did not seem to make up for it. My manager explained this due to a temporary shortage of staff, but there really was not anyone employed to come here to help me out with the workload. While the pay was somewhat decent, I just felt I could have gotten the same pay in a similar role in a competitor's company, with a more humane workload and a more balanced lifestyle.
