Pros

- If you're lucky you might have a good manager who looks out for you. - Opportunity to work on interesting projects and learn a lot if you are willing to sacrifice your work-life balance. - Had flexible working hours.

Cons

As a male, I found that: - Women are paid less than men for doing the same work - Emotional abuse of employees overlooked (especially women) Other cons: - Senior management is going in different directions - Senior management attracted to buzzword technology without understanding the technology or its application at IBI - Management is very "boys club" mentality - Extreme amount of politics within the company - Weak perks/benefits

We noted you touched on two positive areas which are integral to the culture of IBI Group – meaningful employee-manager relationships and a flexible work environment. These two areas often land at the top of our engagement scores so we appreciate you sharing your experience to help us strive to continue to improve. As you may be aware, we’ve spent a great deal of time and effort over the last few years to enrich our culture to one that supports innovation, collaboration, and diversity. We have implemented a Global Women’s Network, that includes activities such as Speed Networking, professional development, monthly forums and external speakers. This is also supported by our Leadership Development Program, a Recognition Program, and just last year we hosted our inaugural Hackathon. Also, we are proud to have achieved and documented Pay Equity in Ontario in January of this year. These initiatives take time to reach each and every team throughout our global offices, but we have made great strides. Regarding your comment on emotional abuse, IBI Group has a strict Business Code of Conduct and Ethics Policy where we foster a work environment in which all individuals are expected to be treated with dignity and respect. The Human Resources Department actions any discrimination or harassment claim in an effective and efficient manner. We would encourage you to reach out to us directly for action.

Pros

Nice office, some people are nice, option to work from home, interesting projects

Cons

Long hours, deadlines on short notice (sometimes same day), people become depressed from unreasonable expectations and cry at work, some people get away with things as long as they deliver the work, low pay, no overtime pay or bank, working extra with no extra pay is expected

Thank you for your feedback as we are proud of our internally designed office space as well! We are happy to see that you are able to use our technology to work when and where you need to. We have spent a lot of time investing in our collaboration technology to ensure you have the flexibility you need. Unfortunately, due to the nature of the consulting industry tight deadlines are not easily avoidable. That being said, work-life balance is an important aspect of a healthy work environment and we have several initiatives in place. The Toronto office boasts several recreational sports teams, employee lounge, lunch n learns, social events (curling funspiel, winter and summer socials) as well as our Employee Assistance Program and our Wellness Program to assist employees in maintaining this balance. To ensure that all of our employees are compensated fairly, we have a team that continually reviews our compensation and benefits package relative to the market. Your observations and concerns help us to better understand how we can improve and we welcome the chance to discuss them live.
