Pros

Everyone was smart, talented, and very analytical. Very open culture, easy to talk with anyone on the team. Management promoted talent from within. What more could a marketer want than to work with an entire company of top-talent marketers!

Cons

Sometimes I drank too much of the HubSpot kool-aid. If you don't like to party and hang out with co-workers all the time it could be hard to digest. Not very family friendly in the early days, but I'm sure that's changed as the company has grown significantly.

Pros

You define your own experience. During your time at HubSpot be smart and think about your career 5-10 years down the road. Understand that when they tell you that you can do anything you want, they mean it. Take advantage of that, as HubSpot is connected to almost every amazing company, vertical, job function or opportunity you can think of across the globe. HubSpot is the best company to work for in Boston right now.

Cons

Forcing myself to disconnect and have a personal life. My work life balance at HubSpot was fantastic, however, I found myself literally wanting to come back to work because I loved my job and what we were able to accomplishing included the most exciting and rewarding projects of my career to date.

Pros

HubSpot has a rare culture that you do not find with most companies. There is a unique balance of a laid back attitude, where often times you do not even feel like you are work, while at the same time everyone is working extremely hard with one common goal in mind. You are surrounded by an extremely intelligent (yet humble) hard working group of people where no matter your place in the company you feel like you are on a team. There is a constant energy running through the place that leaves you feeling excited to be at work and that you are participating in something big. Open door policy does not fully capture how accessible everyone really is – all of upper management, including the CEO, are extremely approachable people who genuinely care about their employees. HubSpot is highly focused on career growth and it is not uncommon to see people try on new roles with full support/mentorship from their respective managers. I can’t say enough positive things about this place – it is packed with an amazing group of driven/friendly people and truly stands behind the “work hard, play hard” attitude.

Cons

The work life balance can be a little tricky but putting your full effort and time in you will definitely reap the rewards.
