Pros

There are a lot of pros about a growth company like HubSpot. My biggest (and I think one of the most important to deciding if you want to work at HubSpot) is that there's no speed limit at HubSpot. Over the 5 years I've worked here, I've had success going as fast as I was capable of, often being pushed by my peers and leaders to go even faster. I've also seen this for people around me over time, and as we've grown we haven't lost the incredible sense of pace at HubSpot. This results in a limitless pace to personal development, learning, skill development, and (ultimately) career development in a rapidly growing company. And it also means the people around me are experiencing the same pace, success, and growth. That's rare, and that's why I still work at HubSpot and love it - because the pace is as fast as ever (even picking up, maybe!) and it breeds a remarkable group of people in an incredible environment.

Cons

Retrofitting your previously existing skills to HubSpot requires a serious amount of abstract professional thinking. Most job transitions are not as challenging as the one to HubSpot - especially if you're entering in a leadership position. If you're not prepared to adapt to the way the existing business runs, you'll be chewed up pretty quickly. That is to say that there is a "HubSpot Way"; it'd be naive to say it's the "best" way, but it's a way that works well for the people here and for creating a business that positively impacts many, many people. Just be prepared to adapt hard.

Pros

For young professionals: - You will learn the best practises for marketing and sales which are already being copied and adapted in several industries which will enhance your career options either inside or outside of Hubspot - You will join a young team of interesting individuals who all have something special about them if you dig a bit deeper. I have so far not met one boring person at Hubspot whether it be at Cambridge or in Dublin For professionals in their late twenties to mid thirties: - You will have the opportunity to build one of the next fortune 500 companies and the according team around you, if you are made of the right stuff - You will build the processes around the currently existing products - You will sell a concept and a product that truly provides value add to your clients and easy and complex at the same time depending on the maturity level of you and the clients you are talking to

Cons

- Transparency is not very everyone in a highly result driven environment. Compared to other american companies I have worked for there is less leeway for non performers. This is not for everyone.

Pros

-Extremely collaborative environment that always promotes learning and being creative. If you have an idea, you can feel free to share it with your manager, director, executives, etc. -Big potential for career growth, if you take advantage of it. I've been in 4 different positions in 4 years, all were promotions to reward hard work. -Amazing culture... People like working here, they are friends with their coworkers, benefits are terrific, office space is outstanding and always being improved. -The product is world class. It's something you can get behind and that you are proud everyday to sell and support. -Can only speak for sales but compensation is fair, if not above industry averages.

Cons

-High expectations, which might not be for everyone. It's a demanding (but rewarding) work atmosphere -East Cambridge is not the easiest to get to, depending on where you live or commute from
