Pros

Really great product and a ton of leads. Culture is fun and it's an easy job.

Cons

Salespeople are not talented there and super over-confident. All the good ones have left and either started companies or gone onto sales leadership positions at growth stage startups. Territories have shrunk a lot, which is to be expected. The BDR program is a joke and I heard it is getting worse which is hard to believe. All in all cool place, but got really big really fast and individual contributors are no longer valued.

Thank you for being a HubSpot alum, and for the review--sorry to hear your frustrations with the BDR program, but I would push back on the fact that individual contributors aren't valued here--I think particularly on sales we have a lot of systems in place to reward their hard work. With that said, many of the things you said are things that we are continuing to iterate and work on--we'll keep at it, thanks for the thoughtful feedback to help us get better. Sincerely, Katie

Pros

Usual IT perks- free food, free sweets, free beer. Educational allowance. Laid back attitude when performing well from most managers.

Cons

The lack of proper planning is glaring at times - the let's see how things go and then react attitude may work for management in terms of staying flexible but it affects the sales floor morale, stress levels and promotion path. US centric thinking, the company hasn't mastered the art of localisation. There's a real sense of the have and have nots.

Sorry to hear your sentiment about both lack of forward-thinking planning and a truly global approach-that's certainly the exact opposite of what we strive for on both counts. I'm sure you've heard that we are planning the company meeting at the end of the month in Dublin specifically to highlight our EMEA customers, partners, and employees, so I'm hoping I have the chance to catch up with you in person there to hear more about how we can improve. Always feel free to email me directly if there are specific actions that can move the needle here; in the meantime, appreciate you sharing your sentiments with our team to help us get better. -Katie
