Pros

The hours are extremely flexible, and they give you any days you request off. As a guy you get experience as a cashier, sales associate, hanging rugs, doing carryouts, processing merchandise, unloading the truck, your everywhere! So it looks good on resumés.

Cons

Management does not train their employees, and multiple managers and coordinators boss you around to do things for them all at once and if you hesitate or do something wrong they go insane! The pay is only 8.00 and the raises for every year are only 15 cents. Coordinators only make 9-11 dollars . Everyones always in a bad mood. The girls get treated like royalty doing nothing and the guys have to carry out heavy merchandise, get carts, take down rugs, and work the trucks, and the girls don't do any of that!

Pros

The only pros I can think of is that it's nearly impossible to get fired.

Cons

Training is non-existent, yet manager and assistant managers lose their patience with you because you don't know how to do something. The managers are rude to employees, snarky, and find passive aggressive ways to punish you (like "forgetting" to put you on the schedule). They often make employees cry. The employee discount is just awful at 10 percent. Constant pressure to sell TJX charge cards and ask for donations to charity from every single customer.

Pros

-Great coworkers, have made friends here -Management is helpful and listens to feedback -Schedule is flexible, they work with your availability -Always something to do, never bored -Never have to work too late, we close at 9:30pm and are usually out by 10:00 -Yearly raises, not huge increases in pay but a considerable amount -Paid weekly -Parties are thrown often for good customer feedback and reaching sales goals -Promote from within the company

Cons

-Store manager is hardly there which is both good and bad. Employees prefer the assistant managers. They are much nicer/laid back. -Not paid enough for the amount of work they expect of you -Customers continuously wreck the store and ask for discounts on most merchandise -Full time isn't really full time. I usually accumulate about 32-37 hours a week -Part time employees come and go, people tend to not stick around -Store manager and assistant managers do not communicate very well to one another -Push store credit cards
