Pros

You work in a fast paced environment.

Cons

Pay is bad for what you are expected to do. The assistant managers over you (for the most part) do the exact same thing you do, except they are salary and make over double what you make. The hours are erratic, you have to deal with the public.

Pros

Easy job. 10% off at HomeGoods, Marshalls, TJMaxx. Usually always opportunity to pick up someone else's shift. Fun if you like to talk to customers.

Cons

Hard to move up in the company, immature managers (lied about employees behind their backs), no doctor's notes taken for part-time employees, will cut back hours randomly one week compared to the next even if you are a good worker, full-time barely makes their full-time hours, minimum wage pay with very little raises even for near perfect job performance

Pros

Best work life balance I have ever experienced in my 25 years of retail management. Executives at all levels of the organization are approachable and interactive. Store visits are focused on what we need at store level. There is a healthy push for results that keeps the company viable and financially healthy. I feel I am fairly compensated.

Cons

The biggest con is that I didn't find this company earlier in my career.
