Pros

There are currently no pros for working for Lafarge. If other jobs are available, you should take them.

Cons

Since 2012, the Company has drastically gone downhill with constant cost-cutting measures, benefits have been getting cut left and right. In 2015, Lafarge and Holcim merged to create LafargeHolcim. This have gone even further downhill since then. The merger has been incredibly mishandled, policies are still being figured out months after the mergers completion, and information has not been shared with employees. Morale is at an all time low

Pros

Global footprint, attractive salary, strong focus on Health and Safety and Sustainable Development.

Cons

unstable HR organization at global level. Traditional approach for business adversities: cost reduction through eliminating headcount and development activities.

Pros

Well a pro is that they made $1billion in profit in the US. Another pro is that many people in the company truly care. They want to do the right thing, they want to be successful, they want to achieve their goals. That counts for something There is a lot of freedom at this place. As long as you do your job you have all the freedom on the planet.

Cons

Remember that profit number? Yeah well they aren’t spreading the wealth. Social Security gave a cost of living increase to all recipients at 2.9%, we gave all employees 2%. Bonuses, if eligble, are being paid at pennies on the dollar. Basically someone is getting paid, just unknown whom. Also a company this large you would think would have basic things for their employees, like a phone directory...yeah that exists but is not complete and is more likely than not unavailable. Seriously no phone directory?
