Pros

Global company with international opportunities, solid portfolio of brands across HPC categories. A lot of effort being made to upgrade internal marketing training and development for new hires in brand management. A fairly well-developed stage-gate process has started to pay dividends in innovation as increased personnel and financial resources are being allocated to deliver meaningful innovation to the marketplace across the portfolio of brands. Woek/life balance is great as vacation time is generous with an allowance to purchase more if so desired. Though work starts early (7:30 am), folks get off around 2:30pm every Friday to enoy the mostly great weather.

Cons

Typically, during the transition from Dial to Henkel performance metrics, promotions have been linked more closely to tenure than performance though efforts are being made to correct this.

Pros

Health benefits are pretty good. 401k is good.

Cons

Too much outsourcing in IT. Reduced levels of Henkel IT employees which leads to being overworked and assigned projects that are destined to fail. The CIO of North America (Amy Bloebaum) is very good at cutting staff and limiting resources. She is more concerned about saving a nickel today rather than saving a dollar tomorrow. In other words, she is only concerned about short term savings and is unwilling to spend more money to get the job done right. Henkel IT in general is more like a dictatorship that imposes it's will on the various business units in the name of standardization. I've never seen so many unhappy employees at one company in my entire life. Morale is terribly low and all the good people keep jumping ship at the first opportunity.
