Pros

First things first...Herb Baum was a fantastic leader and made it a great place to work. High integrity, good results and recognition for a job well done. Brad Casper followed Herb, and had to deal with the new stress of being a newly acquired subsidiary of a German multinational. All in all, Brad has done a great job holding things together. It is a company that has demonstrated that it values diversity, people and integrity. That is much easier said than done these days, but I felt the leaders at Dial were a good group...for the most part. I was proud to have worked there.

Cons

Sometimes the oversight from the German parent company can be smothering. The Germans were nice people, but sometimes prone to micro-managing.

Pros

Generally does a reasonable job. Pretty fair in how it treats their employees. Provides a good level of feedback, Employee morale is ok, probably could be better. Overall better than it was. Used to be that each person was expected to work much more than 40 hours per week to "get the job done". That has pretty much gone by the wayside. Respect seems to be ok. Generally treated with fairness. Was purchased by Henkel a few years ago, some positives and some negatives with that. Went from being a large company to a very large company, again some good and bad.

Cons

Typical large company doesn't always treat employees as they would like to be, some cutbaks.

Pros

Global company with international opportunities, solid portfolio of brands across HPC categories. A lot of effort being made to upgrade internal marketing training and development for new hires in brand management. A fairly well-developed stage-gate process has started to pay dividends in innovation as increased personnel and financial resources are being allocated to deliver meaningful innovation to the marketplace across the portfolio of brands. Woek/life balance is great as vacation time is generous with an allowance to purchase more if so desired. Though work starts early (7:30 am), folks get off around 2:30pm every Friday to enoy the mostly great weather.

Cons

Typically, during the transition from Dial to Henkel performance metrics, promotions have been linked more closely to tenure than performance though efforts are being made to correct this.
