Pros

Compensation overall was average. Opportunities existed abroad, if one knew the correct people to contact.

Cons

I feel promotions and filling of positions within were not fair. Many educated, knowledgeable people were overlooked and feel between the cracks. I also felt there was no benefit to gaining a formal education at moments when up against others that were in the Good Ol' Boy network; very frustrating. Posted jobs were not matched with employees by HR, as should be. Senior management picked whom they wanted. I feel half the jobs posted on-line were a waste to apply for, knowing the positions were likely already filled by someone's buddy or relative. Work/life balance was difficult with a family for those that weren't in the home offices.

Pros

- Compensation & benefits are good and comparable to the industry - Training and professional development is encouraged and supported whenever possible - Motivated coworkers - Every other Friday off for most office employees - Opportunities to operate within a global arena - Integrity is a priority for employees at all levels - Good vacation time

Cons

- Due to the size of the company, it can be difficult to influence change - especially when driven from the ground up - Despite regular increases in salary and diverse opportunities with increasing levels of responsibility, increase in job title is not as frequent in some cases
