Pros

Good benifets, pay and vacation.

Cons

Unorganized and blind leading the blind. Senior management is as lost as one can be. Fluor asks for employee surveys but don’t give the results. Fluor does not listen to the experience in field of what should be done to be safe, productive and profitable, instead they listen to lawyers. There is an overwhelming amount of paperwork, more than needs to be to do task at hand. You can't do the job you were hired to do, due to the processes in place to slow you down. I read from someone else, that the job is hurry up and wait, that is so true. Fluor’s thing is all about pre planning, and that take time to fill out the mounds of paperwork just to plan to work. With Fluor it takes 2 people to do the task of one person, and you wonder why they have cost cutting programs in place when times are slow. Lawyers, Unions and overpaid Seniors Management personnel whom have degrees of some sort just don’t have any idea of hands on, just book knowledge.

Pros

Fluor has excellent benefits and seems to pay and treat employees better than the current competition

Cons

There is a lot of work to be done to streamline processes. There is a lot of talk with little action, and change is slow

Pros

Company provides reasonable salaries and benefits. It has pretty good hours since you work 9 days every two weeks - giving you a three day weekend every other week.

Cons

Not alot of potential for advancement. There is a lot of middle management here. The location is not the best. Living in Richland doesn't offer a lot of benefits, although housing is relatively cheap. I wanted to do much more research here, but work was very applied. There is also a lot of government red tape to work through and government oversight can be overbearing at times. Government contracts come and go, so there are instabilities at times.
