Managers at the local level have too much autonomy and don't always abide by the corporate culture. Too much of a "good ol' boy" system where advancement is based on popularity instead of skills.

Nepotism, Poor Management, Office Politics, Hostile Work Environment I thought Fluor was a great company. I couldn't quit fast enough, or get far enough away. Most new hires quit. Avoid at all costs. They are living on their past reputation.
