Pros

A great enviornment to foster and develop new ideas to streamline the IT Enviornment. Management knows there are better ways to do things and allow the employees to discover and implement them. As an IT person you actually feel like you can get your work done without being micromanaged. If you are willing there are great possibilies to travel to places you might never get to go. The job will require that you work well, and indeed strive under pressure situations, almost all work is done last minute. We were one of the first in Iraq, one of the first on the ground for Katrina, and being able to react quickly and efficently is a must.

Cons

Long Hours, limited holidays, just about everything is on a hurry up and wait basis.
