Pros

No pros to this company at all.

Cons

I would not accept this job keep looking for another! The turn over of the company is huge on average 12-15 people leave per month. To the point where if someone is in the office late we all assume they have quit or been fired. Mass performance plans are given and often make you work until 5:30 then they fire you. If you haven't received a promotion in your first 3 months expect to be fired. This is not a company anyone stays in for a long time. The majority of people are looking for other jobs while working here. This company offer no perks - minimum holiday 20 days, no flexibility. The commission structure is reduced constantly but they still expect you to hit the same targets. This role is purely just cold calling, no emails, no linkedin. Just dialling 250 plus times a day. No strong management. There is 0 training once you are promoted into a management role which leads to lack of morale within the BDR team.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We read all feedback carefully and take it seriously. Flatpay is a high-performance sales environment and we're upfront about that from day one - it's not for everyone, and we respect that. We're proud of our promote-from-within culture and the investment we make in developing our people, including a dedicated training programme for managers. Where we do see room to grow, we're actively working on it. We'd always encourage anyone with concerns to raise them with us directly - that's genuinely how we get better.

Pros

There really isn't any, they con you from the start. I am a skilled sales professipnal and everything about this company is fake, the HR team do a round of group interviews knowing full well that only 20% of staff will remain, its a comission only role although you're guranteed £2k for the fisrst month but if you don't reach your quota in month one you are out hence they take so many people on because they know ony a few people might reach quota

Cons

They say the appointments are booked for you, but this is just to get you in the door. 3 appointments were booked for me per day, 2 out of 3 shops were closed when I went to visit, and the remaining shops i visited either had no intention of seeing me, told me they didn.t book an appointment or just had no interest in card machines because they already had one. The company is aware that 90% of the appointments booked are fake and won't go anywhere, when this was raised in our daily sales meeting, the managers answer was, you need to go out and canvess then, please note, this is a canvessing role, the appointments are completely made up just to get you in the area to cold call to shops. 22 year olds get promoted to territory managers within 2 months of being there if they have sold enough card machines, my bos was in his early 20's and had zero management experience, please take my advice on this, there is zero future at this company, you have one bad month and you are out. If you like canvassing the streets all day in this overly competitive market, then feel free, but it will be the worst job you ever do, as I learned.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We’re genuinely sorry to hear that your time at Flatpay did not meet your expectations. Flatpay is a performance-driven organisation, and we are transparent from the beginning that our sales roles are ambitious, target-focused, and built around a high-growth environment. For some people, that pace and structure is highly motivating. For others, it may not be the right fit and that’s okay. Our compensation model, targets, and performance framework are clearly communicated during the recruitment process. We continuously evaluate these to ensure they are competitive, fair, and aligned with market standards. We strongly believe in internal progression, and many of our leaders have grown within the company. At the same time, we are investing heavily in leadership training and structured onboarding to ensure new team members are supported during ramp-up. We take feedback seriously and are always working to improve how we support our teams while maintaining high standards. If you would be open to it, we’d welcome the opportunity to speak directly and better understand your concerns. We wish you the best in your continued career.

Recently promoted after 3 months to a lead position! - Regular socials for teams and also for the overall group with an activity and free food and drinks. - Feedback is encouraged and listened to by management. - Relatively new to the UK but continuing to grow fast with ambitious founders, I truly look forward to seeing our growth across the UK and in other territories.
